How We Work
A community-centred, evidence-informed and partnership-driven approach.

Our approach
BAF follows a community-centred, evidence-informed and partnership-driven approach. We believe that sustainable development cannot be achieved through isolated interventions alone. It requires strengthening people, institutions and systems simultaneously.
Our work therefore emphasises community participation, capacity building, institutional strengthening, government convergence, strategic partnerships, evidence-based programming and continuous learning. We seek to build local ownership and strengthen existing systems so that positive outcomes can be sustained and taken to scale.
BAF particularly recognises the interconnected challenges faced by children and young people in underserved and rural communities. Education, health, nourishment, skills, leadership and livelihood opportunities are closely linked; therefore, our programmes aim to respond to these dimensions in an integrated manner.
Working Towards Sustainable Impact
Since 2012, BAF has remained committed to contributing to inclusive and equitable development through collaboration with government, civil society and communities. Our experience in education and institutional reform provides a strong foundation for expanding our development work across youth, health, nourishment, skills and community development.
Going forward, BAF seeks to strengthen its role as a trusted development partner, generating evidence, building institutional and community capacities, fostering collaborative solutions and supporting initiatives that can deliver sustainable and measurable improvements in the lives of children, young people and underserved communities.
