BAF’s initiative ‘My School, My Voice’ (MSMV) launched on August 15, 2014 proved to be very effective and was also endorsed by the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh on Jan 12, 2015 at an event organized at his residence on the occasion of National Youth Day. ‘My School My Voice’ program has found significant support among government, community, students and media all at once. The program’s mission is to empower government school students by giving them a monitoring platform to voice their demand/feedback/opinion directly to the policy makers and legislatures. It envisages students as the key changemakers in re-imagining the public education system that has been vying for urgent attention. It is designed to enable government school students to actively participate in the empowerment of their own schools through this unique social accountability initiative. Select students are groomed into ‘Young School Leaders’ by imparting intensive training on their rights
